LEADERSHIP & COMMUNICATION

PMC WORKS WITH COMPANIES, TEAMS AND PEOPLE TO MAKE WORK AND LIFE A MORE FULFILLING, SIMPLE AND SUCCESSFUL PLACE.

WE SPEND OUR TIME IN 2 AREAS:

LEADERSHIP

Let’s be honest. This is the hardest, most challenging, most stress and anxiety inducing thing you will ever do in your life. Parenting runs it close, but I can’t think of anything else remotely near to the daily dangers of leading other humans.

Corporate ‘training’ on Leadership rarely works. Because it’s aimed at getting groups of people through a process, rather than an experience that will change their behaviour and impact their performance.

What DOES work is personalised coaching performance sessions that are all about what the individual leader wants and needs.

The only way to truly affect any kind of performance change is in coaching.

Any successful sportsperson will tell you that you can train all you like, but without coaching, you’re unlikely to get anywhere.

My Leadership coaching gives you the chance to look at what you’re doing right now and whether or not it's working for you. We could spend time on nailing a new strategy and communicating it, creating more impact, working through tough times, or something as practical as speaking in public. You can be sure that my coaching will be sharp, focused and completely free of jargon and clichés.

By the way, I’m a big believer in working on improving strengths, as well as eliminating weaknesses.

Lots of corporate coaching is packed full of pre-prepared content, masses of exercises and rather irksome ‘homework’ activities. I’ll never asking anyone to do something I wouldn’t do myself, so my coaching is always based on reacting to the strengths and need areas of the individual I’m working with, and very rarely has any kind of set agenda or flow.

Nobody ever said Leadership was gonna be easy. So getting some help is a good idea.

COMMUNICATION

I’ve always been fascinated by how organisations communicate to their people and clients. I probably spend far too much time thinking about it. Great communication is usually simple and clear, but we often manage to find the most creative ways to mess it up.

Whether we know it or not, we are communicating hundreds of thousands of times every day. If you’re talking to people by the coffee machine in the office or if you’re about to give the big speech at the yearly conference, you’re communicating.

Even if you would never describe yourself as a ‘natural communicator’, great comms does’nt have to be hard. Virtually every piece of communication we get engaged in, has a human audience at the end of it. So, it’s about YOUR messages connecting with YOUR audience, and ensuring you are being the most authentic and true version of YOURSELF while you’re doing it.

It really doesn’t matter what the message is. Good or bad. Motivating or a reality check. What’s happening now or what may lay ahead.

I work with whole companies, leadership teams and individuals on how to compel, engage and excite when they communicate.

I’ll collaborate with you at a live conference or business meeting, across virtual platforms, on film, in print or in any other type of different media.

It could be crafting a whole communications campaign that could reach millions of people, being involved in facilitating a conference/meeting or simply giving some 1 to 1 coaching to someone who has to deliver an important message.

Our Approach

As I spend my time working with people, I learned quite fast that one size doesn't fit all. Therefore, I don’t operate a ‘methodology’ and ‘format’ to any work I do - of course there are principles that can, and maybe should, remain the same, but every client I partner with is completely different, and I like it that way.

Apparently, 1 in 5 of us still hate going to work. There will be many reasons for this statistic, but without being unbelievably cheesy, the reason I get out of bed in the morning is to try and improve this number - being fulfilled in our jobs is a right. Not something we should be hoping for.

One final thing. Results seem to vastly improve for my clients when I’m fully partnering with them, rather than just being bought in to “provide a service”. But you’re in charge, so I’m happy to work with you in any way you wish.

Pete Morris

(I’m not writing this in the third person…you know it’s me doing it, so let’s be sensible…)

I’ve worked with individuals, teams and whole companies on high performance in Leadership and Communication for over 25 years, as both a coach and consultant for some of the most prestigious brands in the world.

I see my job as providing passion, energy, creativity, inspiration and simplicity.

Truly, I think the coaching and development of leaders within business to make them more impactful, empathetic, charismatic, decisive and human is vitally important in today's business world.

I’m a coach, consultant, trusted advisor, keynote speaker, moderator, facilitator, interviewer, speech writer, and business owner.

Working across as many different business sectors is something I love but, I spend most of my time in Retail, Pharmaceuticals, Professional Services, Medical, Ophthalmology, Media, Banking, Sport and Entertainment.

I’m a husband, and father, as well as a lover of travel, books, and loud music. I’m a long term sympathiser of Queens Park Rangers Football Club. So I understand struggle…
